Dorothy Thomas, 82

Dorothy Thomas age 82 of Sedalia died on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia.

She was born on February 24, 1932 in Sedalia daughter of Samuel and Mary Kirchhoff Lutjen. On May 21, 1949 in Sedalia she married the love of her life, William Russell Thomas who preceded her in death on October 17, 2009.

They were blessed with sixty years of marriage.

Dorothy was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sedalia. Dorothy is survived by four daughters; Carolyn Rees and Cathy (Ralph) Meyers both of Sedalia, Pamela (Philip) Hastings of Craig, Colorado, and Janice (Randy) McCoy of Eldon, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and two sisters and her granddaughter Lynn Rees Phillips.

Funeral services will be on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Kellogg officiating. Friends may call after 8:30 A.M. Monday with the visitation at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Gevan McCoy, Mark Hastings, Mike Adams, Pete Phillips, Dave Sizemore and Aaron Stover. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters Ann Adams, Jada Hastings, Rachel Meyers, Gayleen Sizemore, Sara Stover and Jenna McCoy. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Our Savior Lutheran Church Radio Ministry.
