Dale Malone, owner of Dukes & Boots in Sedalia, recently raised $1500 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri through a fundraiser held on Black Friday (Nov. 23).

Malone offered a lunch of a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for just $2 with all proceeds benefiting the Club. That night, all cover charges collected at the door were also tabbed to benefit the Boys & Girls Club. Additionally, Malone went above and beyond his original commitment by offering a free lunch to Dukes and Boots patrons on Saturday, Nov. 24, donating $2 to the Club for each lunch.

“The Club has a near and dear place in my heart,” said Malone. “I attended the Boys Club when I was a kid here in Sedalia, so I know first hand how important its mission is. I’m proud to help support the Club in any way I can.”

“It is difficult to think of someone with a bigger heart than Dale,” said Club Executive Director Brett Barth-Fagan. “He’s been a strong supporter of the Club for many years now, and his kindness truly knows no bounds.”

The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri serves more than 600 children every day at its 11 sites in Pettis, Benton and Johnson counties.
