Dwain Morris Musslin, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.

He was born September 26, 1934, in Syracuse, son of Andrew and Bernice Koenke Musslin. On May 9, 1998, in Sedalia, he married Barbara Joyce Diotte, who survives of the home.

Mr. Musslin worked for more than 30 years as a truck driver for Whittaker Company, and 12 years for MFA. He was a hard worker and great provider for his family. His hobbies were fishing, mushroom hunting, going to car races, and barbecuing. He was a member of First Baptist Church and spent a lot of time volunteering with the Salvation Army. He was able to express his love for children by helping with the Salvation Army's summer lunch program.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Michael Musslin (LeeAnn), Michelle Potts (David), and Matthew Musslin, all of Sedalia; two stepsons, Mark Esquivel, of Sedalia, and Gregory Esquivel, of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Londyn Musslin, Garrett Musslin and Blake Potts; two step-grandchildren, Liberty Esquivel and Alex Esquivel; three sisters, Martha Schmidt, Gertrude Hunt and Dorothy Musslin; and a brother, Paul Musslin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred and David; and two sisters, Jean Ransdell and Barbara McCown.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
