Eldon Man Facing Charges after Shooting Woman

A 42-year old Eldon man faces several charges after a shooting left a woman injured on New Year's Eve.

The Miller County Sheriff's Department says just before midnight Monday, deputies were dispatched to Sandstone Road outside of Eldon, for a reported shooting.

Deputies located a woman with a gunshot wound to her lower extremities. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigation revealed the shooter to be 42-year old Thomas J. Stogsdill. He was taken to the Miller County Sheriff's office and interviewed. Stogsdill's blood alcohol content reportedly measured point-161 when he was arrested.

The Miller County prosecutor charged Stogsdill with felony 2nd Degree Domestic Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.

Stogsdill is currently jailed in lieu of a $75,000.00 bond.
