Elma June Fisher, 100, of Cole Camp, died Monday, September 15, 2014, at Good Samaritan Care Center, Cole Camp.  She was born on June 22, 1914, at Brookfield, Missouri, a daughter of Frank and Reatha (Helms) Brooks.

June grew up Brookfield and graduated from Brookfield High School in 1933.  She then attended the American College of Dress Making in Kansas City.  She was a secretary at Hubbard Abstract, Versailles.  Her greatest passions in life were being an artist and dancing.

For the past four years, she was a resident at Ambrose Park in Cole Camp until moving to the Good Samaritan care center in July of this year.

June is survived by:
her daughter, Kathy Berendzen and her husband Wayne of Warsaw;
seven grandchildren, Tonya (Danny) Chadwick, Reatha (Lee) Nash, Michael (Lisa) Berendzen, Timothy (Connie) Berendzen, Patrick (Kim) Berendzen, Karla (Keith) Berendzen, and Aaron (Kristy) Berendzen;
eighteen great-grandchildren; and
several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Reatha Brooks, her son, Charles Brook Jamerson, and her sister, Winona Correll.

A prayer service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cole Camp.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.
