Email Scam Reported to Marshall, MO Police

Marshall, MO Police recently received information of a scam which is being conducted by email.

According to the Marshall Police Department, the scammer is soliciting money from people telling them they are Father Mark from the St. Peter Catholic Church and he is in need of funds for an ill relative.

The scammer is requesting that people obtain an ITunes card in the amount of $200.00 and to send a picture of the card to them via email.

Authorities are reminded everyone in the area that this is a scam and another attempt to take money from citizens.
