‘Five-A-Day Challenge’ at Sedalia Area Farmers’ Market
Take the Five-A-Day Challenge at the Sedalia Area Farmers' Market.
Simply buy fruits and vegetables at least twice a month at the market in July and August and receive a small kitchen-related item and also be entered to win the “kitchen bundle grand prize” that includes an air fryer, electric skillet and a “Nutribullet.”
Five-A-Day means three servings of vegetables and two servings of fruit each day to help lower your risk of heart disease, reduce your risk of having a stroke, improve your brain health, protect you from certain cancers, provide an easier and healthier way to manage your weight, and help you live longer.
To enter the challenge, sign up at the “green table” at the farmers' market at the Nucor Pavilion, located across from Kehde's BBQ on South 65 at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

The Sedalia Area Farmers' Market is open for business every Tuesday and Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and the Five-A-Day Challenge July and August. They accept SNAP-EBT Cards and offer the Double Up Food Bucks free veggies and fruits program as well.
The Five-A-Day Challenge is sponsored by United Way of Pettis County, MU Extension, Pettis County Health Center, KatyTrail Community Health, Bothwell Regional Health Center, Missouri WIC and Nutrition Services and The Sedalia Area Farmers' Market.
