Police in Hannibal have announced the arrests of four suspects as part of an effort to fight heroin distribution in the city. According to a news release, the Hannibal Police Department Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad and Special Response Team served a search warrant March 8 at a residence in the 700 block of Church St. A large amount of what is believed to be heroin was discovered in addition to scales and packaging materials, two handguns, cocaine paraphernalia and a small amount of what is believed to be marijuana. The four (4) suspects and their charges are listed below:

  • Reginald D Hilton Jr (23 of Hannibal) was arrested on Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Receiving Stolen Property, and Misd Possession of a Controlled Substance.
  • Reginald Hilton Sr,(51 of Hannibal) was arrested on Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Demetrea Hilton, (53 of Syracuse NY)  was arrested on Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Lexsys R Dowty (20 of Hannibal) was arrested on Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Receiving Stolen Property, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Misd Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Reginald Hilton Sr and Demetrea Hilton were released pending Prosecutor review. Reginald Hilton Jr and Dowty were placed on 24 hour holds at the Marion County Jail.
