Four Warrensburg Residents Arrested on Drug Charges in Johnson County

On Wednesday, Jan. 16, the Warrensburg Police Department Proactive Crime Unit, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Warrensburg Police Department Joint Special Weapons and Tactics Team, executed a narcotics-related search warrant in the 300 block of W. Gay Street in Warrensburg.

During the investigation, the following persons were taken into custody:

· Denton Randall Matheny, age 30, of Warrensburg, on a 24 hour investigative hold for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within a protected area and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia;

· Joseph Michael Harvey, age 34, of Warrensburg, on a 24 hour investigative hold for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within a protected area;

· Hannah Lynne Carlyle, age 24, of Warrensburg, on a 24 hour investigative hold for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia;

· Paula Carlyle, age 40, of Warrensburg, on a 24 hour investigative hold for three counts of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and two outstanding Johnson County probation violation warrants, each with a $25,000.00 cash only bond and Morgan County probation violation warrant with no bond.

Within the 24 hours, the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office filed formal charges against Joseph Michael Harvey and a warrant was issued for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, with a $20,000 cash-only bond.
