Two JoCo residents Escape Injury in Structure Fire
Two residents escaped with no injuries from an overnight residential structure fire in the 900 block of NW Highway 50 in rural Johnson County.
Johnson County Fire Protection District personnel were dispatched to the fire just after 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
The reporting party observed flames on the outside of the residence.

The structure was half engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Several family pets inside of the residence perished in the fire. A cause of the fire was undetermined.
The District was assisted at the scene by Johnson County Fire Protection District #2, Johnson County Volunteer Fire Auxiliary, Johnson County Ambulance District, and Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
