Grems Achieve Some Personal Records at Cole Camp
Originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, the Cole Camp Bluebird Invitational track meet was held on Friday, April 22.
Despite the extremely windy conditions, a few personal records were achieved by the Gremlins.
Senior Bruno Saucedo placed first in the 100 m dash (10.83) and the 200 m dash (23.16) setting new personal records in both events.
Freshman Sophia Carney placed 4th in the 200 m dash setting her personal best in 30.23.
Junior Kate Carney placed 1st in shot put (10.3m) and 2nd in discus (26.2m)
Sophomore Jackson Manning won the 1600m run with a time of 5:09.
The girls 4x100 m relay (junior Mariana Restrepo, sophomore Shea Smith, senior Arly Ponce, senior Allie Finney) placed 3rd setting a season-best of 56.49.
The girls 4x200 m relay (junior Mariana Restrepo, senior Arly Ponce, senior Allie Finney, freshman Sophia Carney) placed 2nd setting a season-best of 1:56.76.
Junior Mariana Restrepo placed 3rd in long jump (4.15m) and 4th in the 800m run (2:53.35).
The boys 4x400m relay (sophomore Reuben Smith, junior Osvaldo Garcia, sophomore Jackson Manning, senior Bruno Saucedo) placed 3rd in 4:00.32.
Sacred Heart will compete in the Smith-Cotton Tiger Invitational this Tuesday.
