Sacred Heart track and field enjoyed nearly perfect weather Monday for a personal-record setting afternoon in Smithton, reports Sacred Heart Track Coach Carrie Smith.

Sophomore Jackson Manning achieved his first sub-five-minute mile, with a time of 4:54.7

Junior Kate Carney set a PR in shot put throwing 10.5 meters.

Junior Mariana Restrepo set a PR in long jump with a 4.75 m jump.

Senior Bruno Saucedo placed first in the 100m dash (11.53), 200m dash (23.4) and teamed up with juniors Osvaldo Garcia, Jaden Velando and sophomore Reuben Smith to place first in the 4 x 100 m relay with a time of 47.65.

Junior Mariana Restrepo placed 1st in the 800m run in 2:53.5.

Freshman Sophia Carney placed first in the 200 m dash (30.94) and third in the 100 m dash (14.73).

Junior Kate Carney also placed first in the discus with a throw of 22.27meters.

The girls 4 x 100 m relay placed 2nd (57.84) with seniors Allie Finney, Arly Ponce, junior Mariana Restrepo and sophomore Shea Smith.

Junior Jaden Velando placed 4th in both the long jump (4.79m) and 100m dash (12.65).

Sophomore Reuben Smith placed 4th in the 400m dash (58.74).
