Someone picked up a ticket at a convenience store in Missouri in September that turned out to be a big winner, but that person has never come forward. Today is now the last chance for that winner to claim their $50,000 prize or they lose it.

Were you at this FastLane located at 2301 S. Old Highway 94 in St. Charles, Missouri on September 3, 2025?

According to the Missouri Lottery, someone picked up a Powerball ticket that day with the winning numbers of 3-16-29-61-69 with a Powerball number of 22. That ticket is now worth a cool $50,000, but there's a big and urgent problem. Today, Monday, March 2, 2026 is the deadline to claim that money or lose it according to the Missouri Lottery Unclaimed Prizes site.

The Missouri Lottery says "Note: Any prize money that is unclaimed 180 days after the draw date of a ticket's last winning play will go to benefit Missouri public education."

Today, Monday, March 2, 2026 is that day. According to an online lottery tax calculator, the take home money from a $50,000 winning lottery ticket in Missouri would be approximately $36,000. While that's a big chunk of change taken away by the tax man, I don't know anyone that wouldn't love to have that kind of fun money appear in their bank account. If you stopped by that gas station in St. Charles in September, time to check the floorboard of your vehicle to see if you have the winning ticket you knew nothing about.
