John Stanley (Stan) Dick, 54

John Stanley (Stan) Dick, 54, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 27, 1959, a son of Kenneth and Marva Lee (Robinson) Dick of Sedalia.

He was a 1978 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. Stan enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and camping, watching Cardinal baseball and playing with his grandson. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 124 and was employed by Citadel Electric Group, Inc. of Oak Grove as a General Field Foreman.

In addition to his father he is survived by two children, Brian Dick of Sedalia and Brittany Merrick of Los Angeles, CA; one grandson, Emry Dick of Sedalia, two sisters, Terri Maple and husband Mike of Sedalia and Tracy Straka and husband Bill of Blue Springs; two brothers, Larry Ellis of Boone, NC and Scott Dick and wife Kerry, of Los Alamos, NM, and his special companion, Cindy Bachov of Sedalia. Stan will be dearly missed by his family and many close friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sedalia, with Father Mark Miller officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Burial will be in Mt. Herman Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Department of Conservation or charity of donor’s choice in care of the funeral chapel.
