Every year, JROTC hosts a breakfast, ceremony and parade in honor of our area veterans on Nov. 11.

These Veterans hold a special place in everyone's hearts, especially in JROTC, so what better way can we do to prove to them that we will not forget what they have sacrificed?

These veterans have served their time, risked their lives, and so much more, just for us and this country.

The breakfast we hold is for the veterans and cadets so they can sit and have time together before the ceremony.

During the assembly we hold, we like to acknowledge each of our veterans by the branches they served in by having them stand up or raise their hand. We then have a cadet come out with the flag for that branch of service, and the choir will then sing their song.

We also have a table set-up to help us remember the ones we've lost, we like to do this to show our respect for our fallen soldiers or to show prisoners of war that just because they are not here we are still waiting for them to come home or if we have lost them we will still not forget what they’ve done for us, this also goes for our soldiers out in war that couldn’t make it home for this.

These veterans don't know how much we truly appreciate them or what they mean for our community, family, and, of course, us JROTC kids.

Our veterans are an amazing reflection for everyone to look back on and look forward to, and they are here to really show us the way.
