City of Sedalia contractors continue working to make improvements to the City’s water distribution system.

The following streets will be reduced to one lane as they will be affected while water mains are installed, new water lines are tied in to the water distribution system or failed valves are replaced. All roadways will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Plates will be installed to allow both lanes of traffic to be open after 5:00 p.m. each day.

 W. 3rd St. near the intersection with S. Stewart Ave. -- Mon., May 3, 2021 for water line tie in

 W. 3rd Street near the intersection with S. Park Ave. -- Mon., May 3 - Tues., May 4, 2021 for water line tie in

 S. Ingram Ave. between E. 18th St. and E. 19th St. -- Mon., May 3, 2021 for replacement of failed water valves

 W. 20th St. near the intersection with S. Warren Ave. -- Wed., May 5 - Thurs., May 6, 2021 for water main installation.

Travelers in these areas are encouraged to plan for use of alternate routes during this period to avoid delays.

The City apologized for any inconvenience the lane restrictions may cause as they work to improve the water utility services in these areas.

The work is weather and equipment dependent and the dates lane restrictions occur may be affected by inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
