Smith-Cotton High Hosting Holocaust Exhibit
Smith-Cotton High School and Sedalia School District 200 is hosting an exhibit by 53-year-old Italian artist Luigi Toscano.
The exhibit will be open to the public April 24 through May 5 at Smith-Cotton High School, 2010 Tiger Pride Blvd.
“Lest We Forget” is an interactive exhibition featuring large-scale color portraits on canvas of Holocaust survivors that are now on display on the fence across from the main entrance of the school.
Each subject was photographed in closeup using a studio ring light with a stark black background.
Beside each portrait is a brief bio of their life.
The exhibit was brought to Smith-Cotton High to promote Holocaust awareness and education.
