Lincoln Man Injured in Truck Crash

A 71-year old man from Lincoln, MO was injured Monday afternoon in Benton County after his truck experiences a mechanical failure.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 12:20, on White Rock Ave at Harper Road.

According to the online crash report, a 1993 Dodge truck experienced a mechanical failure and unable to stop at the intersection. The truck crossed over the roadway and struck two trees before coming to rest.

The driver, Jerald Brandt, suffered serious injuries. Brandt was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

The Dodge was totaled and towed.
