Mississippi Couple Injured In Motorcycle Vs Deer Wreck
A Mississippi couple on a motorcycle were injured when they encountered a deer on the highway in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 70-year-old Ronald J. Jenkins of Abbeville, Miss., was the driver of a westbound 2005 Honda Goldwing on US 50 at NW 475 Road at 9:50 a.m. Friday morning, when a deer traveled into his path.
The motorcycle struck the deer, then traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
Jenkins and his passenger, 55-year-old Tina L. Meyers of Tylertown, Miss., suffered moderate injuries and were transported Research Medical Center by JCAD.
The Honda had extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
