Missouri Boy Killed in ATV Accident

A 12-year-old boy was killed in an ATV accident on October 1 in Maries County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Dalton M. Newton, of Bland, Missouri, was driving a 2016 Yamaha ATV when he failed to negotiate a curve on County Rd. 317. The ATV left the roadway, struck a fence post and ejected Newton, who was pronounced dead just after 4 pm at Phelps County Regional Medical Center.
