Just before 11am Wednesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on US-24 at Ox Trail Road in Lafayette County. According to the report, the accident occurred as the driver of a 1997 GEO, 40-year-old Guadalupe A. Tredway of Independence, lost control of the vehicle while making a turn. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a utility pole. A passenger in the vehicle, 51-year-old Stuart Tredway, also of Independence, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center by Lifeflight for treatment. The driver was taken to Lafayette Regional Medical Center by Lexington EMS for treatment of moderate injuries.

2-vehicle accident in Benton County injures Two-Edwards women

At 12:20pm Wednesday afternoon a two-vehicle collision on Route “DD” at Route “FF” in Benton County totaled two vehicles and sent two women to the hospital. According to the accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision happened when the 2001 Plymouth Neon driven by 19-year-old Charles H. Ries of Everly, Iowa was Northbound on DD, and a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 77-year-old Adaline M. Stewart was Westbound on FF.  The report states the Stewart vehicle attempted to cross DD, and traveled into the path of the Ries vehicle. The resulting collision caused moderate injuries to Stewart and her passenger, 69-year-old Sandra E. Novinger of Edwards. Both victims were transported to Osage Beach Hospital by Warsaw/Lincoln EMS for treatment. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident, and were towed from the scene.
