
Smithton Man Injured After Car Strikes Deer
A 48-year-old Smithton man suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash that occurred in Pettis County Tuesday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kelly G. Carver was the driver of a southbound 1995 Mercury on Route W, south of Lena Road at 6:15 p.m. when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway, ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Carver was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was wearing a safety device, according to a report.
The Mercury was totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
Pettis County Sheriff's deputies assisted the Patrol.
