Seatbelts Limit Injuries in a Two-Vehicle crash in Johnson County Accident Tuesday

At 3:20pm Tuesday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 23 at Southeast 275th Road in Johnson County. According to the report the accident occurred as 2002 Ford driven by 24-year-old Austin D. Palmer of Windsor travelled off the roadway, then returned to the roadway, and slid into the Northbound lane where it struck the 2008 Chevrolet driven by 69-year-old Catherine Bell of Concordia. The report states both victims were wearing seatbelts, and received only minor injuries in the crash, that extensively damaged both vehicles. Both victims refused treatment at the scene.
