Marshall, Mo. (December 9, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College men’s lacrosse team spent part of its day recently volunteering to help out an organization in the Marshall, Mo., community.

Members of the lacrosse team spent a number of hours at the Marshall Animal Shelter assisting in taking care of the dogs the shelter cares for.  The team took time walking the dogs, playing with them and cleaning out the dog kennels.

“The Marshall Animal Shelter was a great place to stop by help out,” said Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Kevin Totaro.  “It was nice to see all the guys smiling and having fun with all the dogs.”

The men’s lacrosse team will enter its 2015 season picked to repeat as Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference Division II champions.  The Vikings finished 13-2 overall in the program’s first season in 2014, winning the GRLC Division II championship and earning a berth into the MCLA Division II National Tournament.  Missouri Valley will open its season in February.
