Smith-Cotton High School senior Bradley Radu has accepted scholarships to compete in eSports and perform with the spirit squad at Missouri Valley College in Marshall.

Radu has competed with the S-C eSports team for three years; he created the team’s entire streaming package and ran the stream during that time. His senior year, he was team captain and developed a team health and wellness plan. This year Radu also performs as Terrence, the Smith-Cotton tiger mascot, with the S-C cheerleading team.

S-C eSports Head Coach Michael Stehwien said: “Bradley has been an influential part of S-C eSports since he joined. He has really embodied the values of our team, and has developed into a great leader. There are so many things we would not have been able to do without him these past few years, and we will greatly miss his drive and passion to make the team better. He will be a great fit at MVC and I can't wait to see how he contributes to their program.”

Zara Hoover, head coach of S-C Cheerleading, said, “Bradley has really broken out of his shell this year as mascot and embraced his role as Terrance the Tiger. I am so excited for his journey at MoValley.”

Missouri Valley eSports Head Coach Ryan Jensen is looking forward to Radu raising the profile of the Vikings’ program.

“I am most excited about him coming in and furthering our social media, our broadcasting; our outward-facing walls are going to be greatly enhanced when he shows up,” Jensen said. Radu also participating with the cheer squad “speaks volumes to how everything is interconnected and how supportive Missouri Valley is to the opportunities that students have in a thousand different things all at once,” Jensen added.
