Chick-fil-A Inc. announced the 12 winners of the 2025 Chick-fil-A™ Community
Scholars program, which honors students who are not affiliated with Chick-fil-A with a
$25,000 scholarship for their leadership in the community.

One of these 12 recipients, Jeffthan Glaster, a senior at Smith-Cotton High School, is one of them.

The scholarship will allow Glaster, a third-generation Mexican immigrant, to become
an orthopedic surgeon through the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s B.A./M.D.
program.

He said he wants to improve health care in rural and low-income areas.

Along with receiving a $25,000 scholarship to pursue their academic passions, Glaster
and the 11 other winners were invited to participate in a year-long leadership
development and mentorship program.
