Lamonte Man Arrested For forgery and stealing at Walmart

Just after 6pm Monday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Walmart Store on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the complainant told theofficers the suspect was changing UPC Labels on items to be able to purchase expensive items at a lower price. They also said the man had also taken three items. Officers arrested 30-year-old Terry Lee Stevson of Lamonte and transported him to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of forgery, and stealing.

Woman reports her daughter broke into her house and stole her debit card

According to a female victim in the 2700 block of South Massachusetts her daughter broke into her house, and stole her debit card. The victim said the card had been used in Kansas City and also in Kansas.

Drive off at Casey's Monday

Casey’s located at 3050 South Limit reported a $25 gas drive off Monday morning. The police report states there the complainant was able to give the Police Department a description  of the vehicle and also the license plate number.

Pettis County accident sends two Warsaw victims to the hospital Monday afternoon

At 1:15 Monday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2-vehicle accident on US-65 Highway a tenth of a mile South of Elm Hills Blvd. The accident reportedly happened as the 2003 Chevrolet driven by 49-year-old Daniel J. Hooton of Warsaw pulled out of a private driveway and into the path of a 2005 Chrysler PT. Cruiser driven by 59-year-old Sherry L. Ballowe also of Warsaw, causing the Ballowe vehicle to strike the Hooton vehicle. Ballowe and a passenger in the Hooton vehicle, 66-year-old Donnie D. Chaney of Warsaw received minor injuries in the crash, and were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County EMS for treatment.
