Mother And Son Dance Coming This May To SCJH
For the past few years or so, there's been a cool little event happening. If you're looking for something for your little boys to do, here it is - a Mother and Son dance! They've done a night in candy land, saddle up (like a country theme), disco, roaring twenties, you get it. It's a theme so you guys can get dressed up and add to the fun with a little costume or something.
This year's theme looks to be, if I'm guessing right from the promo material, a fifties' style hop. So I expect we'll see a lot of cute outfits. It also says they're going to have face painting, a photo booth, games, soda floats, crafts and dancing!
It's for Moms and their sons to have a little fun together! Although I imagine it would be okay if a cousin or an Aunt took their little guy. I guess you don't have to be a mother or a son to go. Maybe a Grandma, a big sister home from college, I don't know. I'm not here to limit anything. I think the only requirement is that the kids are aged 5-12. So it's not for super little ones.
It's gonna be on May 14th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Smith Cotton Junior High FEMA building. Tickets go on sale on April 11 at Lolly's Candy Shop, Vincent's Footwear and Apparel, and Heber Hunt Elementary. It's $30 for a couple and $10 for each additional child ticket. So if you have two or three boys who wanna go, they can. It's not like they wouldn't have plenty to do while two of you are dancing!
They have a Facebook page you can message if you need more information. Looks like a lot of fun, and it could be something you don't want to miss!
Dancingly yours,
Behka
