Motorcycle Chase Ends in Arrest for Bar Employee
On Thursday afternoon, Pettis County deputies attempted a traffic stop West Main and Moniteau on a motorcycle being driven in a careless and imprudent manner, speeding, and weaving in and out of traffic.
The motorcycle driver refused to stop for the deputy, who was in a marked patrol vehicle with emergency lights and siren activated.
The motorcycle continued on several city streets in the downtown area before the rider dismounted the bike in front of Chance's R Bar, 303 South Lamine, next door to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect then fled into Chance's R.
The suspect, identified as Troy Dale Fogarty, was then taken into custody inside the business and was later determined to be an employee of Chance's R Bar.
Fogarty was taken to the Pettis County Jail next door, where he was booked on charges of felony resisting arrest (for creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death), possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana, operating a motorcycle with a valid license, no motorcycle head gear, no proof of insurance, failure to display valid license plates, and careless and imprudent driving (creating an immediate threat of an accident).
