According to Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders, Wednesday was a lengthy drug enforcement initiative with three search warrants served over a 10-hour period.

First, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Aug. 2, a traffic stop was conducted by Deputy Moore and K9 Cav after a traffic violation was observed.

The driver, Mark R. Nelson, attempted to flee but stopped, immediately exited, and was observed dropping a bag with a crystal substance. Nelson was taken into custody and contact was made with the passenger, Amanda D. Meyer. Meyer exited the vehicle and a bulge was observed.

Ultimately, a large bag containing methamphetamine was recovered from Meyer along with the baggie dropped by Nelson. Over two ounces of methamphetamine were inside the baggies. Both subjects were transported to the Pettis County Jail where they are being held on a 24-hour hold pending charges of 2nd Degree Drug Trafficking.

A few hours later, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a search warrant was executed by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, and Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit at 1706 S. Lamine Ave.

Upon securing the residence, Shyanne Meyer, Bobbie Jo Williams, and Kristi E. Tittsworth were taken into custody. A search of the residence yielded assorted paraphernalia to include pipes and scales, and approximately 6 grams of methamphetamine, a bag of Fentanyl weighing just under 1 gram, and Alprazolam. All three subjects are being held on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2, 2nd Degree Drug Trafficking (Meyer) and Possession of Paraphernalia.

At approximately 6:45, immediately after the previous warrant service, another search warrant was executed by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, and Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit at 2509 S. Ingram Ave.

Upon securing the residence, Melissa Clark and Jonathan Johnson were taken into custody. A search of the residence yielded over two ounces of methamphetamine and Alprazolam. Assorted paraphernalia to include scales and pipes were also seized. Both subjects are being held on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of 2nd Degree Drug Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Lastly, at approximately 12:55 p.m.., a search warrant was executed by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, and Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit at 1219 Elm Hills, Apartment D. Upon securing the residence, Skyler Zane and Alex Zeiler were taken into custody; booking photos not yet available. A search of the residence yielded over approximately 60 counterfeit Fentanyl pills and assorted paraphernalia to include pipes and scales.

In addition, two bags of what is believed to be Fentanyl were located via the Pettis County Jail's body scanner within Zane. I will update when more information has been received. Both subjects will be placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of 2nd Degree Drug Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

It should be noted that during these warrants, one individual was found to be in active overdose. He was treated and transported to receive medical attention by PCAD.

“I am extremely proud of the collective law enforcement officers and PCAD personnel that have worked to save a life today. I am also proud of the deputies and corrections officers who have worked tirelessly in the service of these warrants and location of dangerous substances,” commented Sheriff Anders.
