The Missouri State Highway Patrol was working an accident Wednesday morning that occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-70 on the Rocheport Bridge east of Boonville in Cooper County.

The Sportage continued off the right side of the roadway, and the driver was ejected.

The Sportage then struck a concrete barrier. Winfield was pronounced deceased by Cooper County Coroner James Hurt at 7:51 a.m.

Gulley was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while Winfield was reportedly not. Her body was taken to H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville.
