State Fair Community College announced last week that Jeremy Pepin was selected as one of 20 college students named to the prestigious 2024 All-USA Academic Team.

Selected from more than 2,200 nominees, Pepin will receive a $5,000 scholarship.

Pepin was recognized for academic achievements, campus and community engagement and overall leadership. Additionally, Pepin will be recognized during the American Association of Community Colleges’ (AACC) annual convention in Louisville in April. Pepin was also recognized last August when he received the Ronny J. Coleman Fire and Emergency Services Leader of the Future Scholarship of $1,000 from the International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute (IPSLEI) and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

“Community colleges demonstrate a steadfast commitment to providing inclusive, flexible, and affordable education to all students," stated Edwin Robles, Senior Vice President and General Manager, US Higher Education and Canada, Cengage. "In the face of an ever-evolving higher education landscape and the increased demands of both students and the workforce, they remain dedicated to ensuring a successful transition to whatever comes next – a commendable feat. We are inspired by the accomplishments of this year's All-USA Academic Team, who exemplify the transformative power of learning. Cengage is proud to support these exceptional students and their institutions, eagerly anticipating the remarkable accomplishments they will undoubtedly achieve in the future."

The All-USA program is among the nation’s premier academic honors for students pursuing an associate degree. Each institution may nominate two students who have shown outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and citizenship. The program, sponsored by education technology provider Cengage in collaboration with Phi Theta Kappa, also honors students who leverage their community college experience to better themselves, improve their schools and impact their communities.
