Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Mittelhauser to Run for Associate Judge

At 9 a.m. Friday morning (Jan. 24), Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Mittelhauser announced his candidacy for Associate Judge for the Circuit Court Division 6.

A large crowd of supporters gathered in the Historic Fox Theater in downtown Sedalia to hear Mittelhauser present his qualifications for the position. According to Mittelhauser, 85% of the cases heard in the Division 6 Courtroom are the same type of cases he has been working with during the 28 years he has served as prosecuting attorney for Pettis County.

Mittelhauser stated he will run as a Republican, setting the stage for a contested primary race on Aug 5 with Missouri State Representative for the 52nd District, Stanley Cox. Cox, who announced his candidacy earlier, will be term limited out of the House of Representatives when his term expires.
