Pettis County Sheriff’s Crime Reports for July 12, 2019

On Wednesday, Pettis County deputies arrested Cory Shaumeyer, 35, on a probation violation warrant.

On Monday, July 8 at 1:35 a.m., Pettis County deputies located a 2000 Chevy Silverado in the 4700 block of South Limit that matched the description of a stolen vehicle out of Benton County a few days prior. Investigation revealed that the plates on the vehicle were also stolen from Sedalia while the victim's car was parked over the weekend awaiting repair in the 600 block of West Main.  Richard “Troy” Heston of Cole Camp was taken into custody and charged with  possession of a controlled substance. Officers obtained a warrant from the prosecutor's office and a bond of $50,000 was set.

On Monday, July 8, Vasiliy Melnik of Hughesville reported the theft of his black, four-door 1999 Mercedes Benz, Model E430.

On Monday, July 8, Eric Stilfield of Sedalia reported the theft of several items from his work truck.
