On Friday night just after 11:30, Pettis County deputies and a Mid-Missouri Task Force detective contacted a subject in the 500 block of West 3rd walking between houses. The subject was identified as 31-year-old Matthew Jacob Grant of Sedalia. Deputies located a black case that was next to the path Grant was walking. Inside the case was a small amount of a crystal substance (meth) and drug paraphernalia. Grant was placed under arrest and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.


 

On Aug. 29, Charlotte Vinson reported the theft of some of her medications. Vinson was unsure of where the meds were stolen. No leads or suspects were available at the time of the report.


 

On Aug. 29, Brian Frey reported the theft of tools from the 23000 block of Route MM in Pettis County. Investigation is under way.
