Pettis County Sheriff’s Office Reports for August 20, 2024

Monday morning, Shanna Johnson of Sedalia reported to the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office that someone stole her cell phone. The cell phone was stolen from the 19000 block of Whitfield Road between April 20th and August 19th of 2024.
Sunday night, Deputies conducted a warrant check in the 27000 block of Griessen Road. They were looking for a subject with a Probation and Parole violation warrant out of District 29C. Jennifer Ann Bybee, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Probation Violation warrant on original felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The original filing took place in March of 2023, and Bybee was placed on 5 years supervised probation at that time. The next month, the probation conditions were violated. After several hearings, the latest motion to revoke probation for Bybee came in April of 2024. Bybee was booked in at the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash or surety bond of $2500.
Sunday afternoon, Deputies responded to the 300 block of East Main Street in La Monte, regarding a dog bite. A two-year-old boy was bitten by a dog. The toddler was transported to the hospital by air ambulance for treatment. The dog was seized, and is being held for a procedural quarantine.
