Monday night, Deputies attempted a traffic stop on a Ford Mustang that was speeding while travelling eastbound on US 50. The vehicle turned south onto South Marshall Avenue and began to attempt to elude Deputies. Deputies pursued the vehicle south on Marshall at speeds in excess of 100 MPH. The vehicle eventually left the roadway at Marshall and McVey and became disabled. The driver and passenger were detained but later released. The driver was released due to being a juvenile, and the passenger was released without charges. A juvenile referral was completed and forwarded to the Juvenile Office for charges of Resisting Arrest (Creating a Substantial Risk to the Public) and Driving While Suspended. The vehicle was towed from the scene.


 

Saturday night, The Pettis County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of 127 Highway and West Mason Street in La Monte. During the stop, the driver, Elizabeth Ann Bryant, 26, of Sedalia, was found to have an active warrant for her arrest. Bryant was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Bryant was held pending a cash only bond of $126.00.


 

Deputies took a report of a violation of an order of protection in the 4200 block of Par 5 Drive in Pettis County. Charges are pending on the suspect.

Deputies and the K9 Unit were dispatched to the 2000 block of Twin Pines Drive in Pettis County in reference to a physical disturbance Sunday morning. During the investigation, Deputies arrested Alden Joe Harding, 25, of the address. Harding was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance.


 

Friday night, The Pettis County K9 Unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of East Pine Street and Chestnut Street in La Monte. The vehicle had no front license plate. At that time, the driver of the vehicle fled Deputies. Deputies pursued the vehicle as they came to a stop in the area of East Mason Street and Garrison Street. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot, but was arrested a short time later. Miguel Lugo Herrera, 54, of La Monte, was arrested on charges of felony Resisting Arrest, Careless and Imprudent Driving, No Front License Plate, and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Bond was set at $1500 cash or surety.
