Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for August 1, 2023

Monday morning, Deputies responded to the 25000 block of Trickum Road in Houstonia about a report of a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Deputies located Samuel Kearney, 45, of Sedalia, and placed him under arrest for a Parole Violation warrant with no bond*. Inside the residence, Deputies also located Sarah Sue Kearney, 40, of Houstonia. Kearney had two Failure to Appear warrants for her arrest. One FTA warrant was from Pettis County on a charge of Property Damage in the 2nd Degree. The other FTA warrant was issued from Moniteau County on a charge of Excessive Speeding (16-19 MPH Over). Sarah Kearney was issued a total cash bond of $450.00.
On the night of July 24th, Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3600 block of West Broadway Boulevard because the vehicle had expired registration. The driver of the vehicle, Jessica L. Daleo, 36, of Kingsville, was found to have multiple warrants for her arrest, and a suspended driver’s license. A consent search of the vehicle was conducted, and Deputies located methamphetamine, which Daleo attempted to destroy during the stop. Deputies also discovered THC wax and drug paraphernalia. Daleo was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Daleo was booked in on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Physical Evidence in a Felony Prosecution, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Revoked. Daleo was also booked on four Failure to Appear warrants from Johnson County on original charges of No Insurance, Expired Plates, and two counts of Driving While Suspended. Bond on the new charges was set at $7500 cash or surety, and bond on the FTA warrants totaled $450 cash only and $400 cash or surety.
Last Wednesday morning, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Main Street and Tecumseh Road in Green Ridge, because the vehicle had no front license plate. During the investigation, a large amount of narcotics were located in the vehicle. Alix A. Kissee, 34, of Clinton, was placed under arrest on three counts of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kissee was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold, with bond later set at $50,000 cash or surety.
Saturday morning, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to signal a turn**. Mark Randyl Nelson, 41, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest. Nelson was found to have a suspended driver’s license. After a search of the vehicle, suspected methamphetamine was located. Further investigation revealed more suspected methamphetamine had been thrown from the vehicle. Nelson was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Evidence in a Felony Prosecution, and Driving While Suspended. Bond was later set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop early Monday morning in the area of East 17th Street and South Marvin Avenue on a vehicle with a defective license plate light. Elizabeth Maree Campbell, 35, of Warrensburg, was found to have an active Failure to Appear warrant for her arrest. Campbell was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Campbell was booked in for the FTA warrant from Warrensburg on original charges of Failure to Display License Plates. Bond was set at $150 cash or surety.
