Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports For August 23, 2022

Early Tuesday morning, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Main and Washington in Sedalia. Enrique Canseco, 29, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Revoked. Canseco was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.
Pettis County Deputies were on patrol in the area of Covered Bridge Road and South Kentucky Avenue Saturday night when they initiated a traffic stop on a black colored 2012 Chrysler 200 for defective headlights. Upon contact with the driver, the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was searched, and unspecified drugs and drug paraphernalia were located. The driver, who was not named in the report, was arrested on unspecified charges and transported to the Pettis County Jail. The driver was cited and given a court date.
Deputies took a report of harassment from the 300 block of West Webster Road in Smithton on the afternoon of August 20th.
The Pettis County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on the area of 10th Street and Vermont Saturday morning. While the Deputy was speaking with the driver, they advised they had a K9 with them. The driver, identified as Christina Sue Crutchfield, 43, of Sedalia, admitted to being in possession of a controlled substance. After a search of the vehicle, Deputies located a crystal substance. Crutchfield was arrested on two felony counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held pending a total bond of $22,000 cash or surety.
On the night of August 19th, Deputies were dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a report of a dog bite. Deputies spoke with the father of the victim, and a dog bite report was completed. A copy of the report will be forwarded to the Pettis County Health Department.
Deputies were dispatched to the 2900 block of McVey Road last Friday evening for a report of a disturbance in progress. Contact was made with two subjects inside the residence. A juvenile referral was completed, and no charges will be sought at this time.
