
Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for July 24th, 2024

Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to Tyson Foods, 19571 Whitfield Road last Tuesday afternoon in regards to a theft. An iPhone was stolen from a restroom. Anyone with information regarding the stolen item is urged to contact the Pettis County Joint Communications or the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
Last Friday night, Deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of West Clay Street in Smithton for a warrant check. At the residence, Deputies knocked on the front door and made contact with a male subject identified as Cody A. Edgar, 26, of Sedalia. Edgar’s information was checked with Dispatch, and they verified Edgar had an active warrant from Pettis County. Edgar was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on charges of Driving While Revoked, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and Displaying the License Plates of Another Person. Edgar was transported to the Pettis County jail to be booked, pending a $500 cash or surety bond.

On the afternoon of July 16th, Timothy Gladush, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested at the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office for an active Pettis County warrant. The warrant was issued in July of 2024 because the suspect allegedly violated his parole on an original charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The Parole Violation warrant carried a bond of $5,000 cash or surety.
Sunday night, Deputies were dispatched to the 2800 block of Westlake Drive in Pettis County regarding a runaway juvenile.
Sunday morning, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Broadway and Industrial Avenue on a black Pontiac G6 with expired registration. The driver was identified as Dawn Marie Honer, 35, of Warsaw. A computer check of Honer’s driving status found she had no operator’s license. Honer was placed under arrest and later found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Honer was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on charges of Operating A Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License, Trafficking Drugs in the 2nd Degree, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
