Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for March 9, 2021
This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:
On Monday, March 8, Pettis County Deputies arrested Christopher Brian Batzel at his residence in the 300 block of South Myrtle in Smithton for outstanding warrants out of Pettis and Cooper counties. Batzel's total bond was $500 cash only.
On Sunday at 6:22 p.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to the 3000 block of Brooking Park on a warrant service. 19-year-old Skyler Allison of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on an active Callaway County warrant.
On Saturday, March 6, Pettis County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop at US 50, just west of Highway MM, on a vehicle displaying improper license plates. The driver, who was later identified as Trenton Willis of La Monte, accelerated his vehicle to speeds of over 100 miles per hour and a chase ensued. With emergency equipment activated, Deputies were catching up with Willis, who continued west on US 50 at speeds of over 120 miles per hour. Willis eventually stopped just east of Chevalier Road. Willis was then placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, C& I driving, speeding and resisting arrest. There was a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Josiah Willis of Sedalia, who was also arrested, for possession of marijuana.
On Friday March 5, Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at US 65 and Tiger Pride Blvd. The driver, identified as Clorissa Michelle Youmans of Sedalia, was found to be driving while revoked. During a search of the vehicle, several prescription pills were located. Youmans was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and driving while revoked. While at the Pettis County Jail, Youmans was found to be in possession of marijuana and several other prescription pills.
