On Saturday, May 23, Pettis County deputies responded to the Pettis County Jail, 333 South Lamine, on a report of a fire in the jail at 11:30 a.m. The fire was located in a holding cell. A subject identified as Dustin A. Schondelmeyer was in the jail on a 24-hour hold, which expired at 11:25. Schondelemeyer went to his cell to use the restroom before leaving, then was informed he had a warrant and would not be leaving. Schondelemeyer then reportedly pulled a lighter from his pocket, and ignited styrofoam and paper in the center of the room. Deputies were able to extinguish the flame. Charges were submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor for 1st degree arson and delivery or possession of a weapon in a county jail.


On Friday around 8 a.m., Pettis County deputies responded to the Pettis County Jail, 333 South Lamine, on a report of destruction of property.


 

On Friday around 6:15 p.m., Chance Crosswhite reported that the front door to his residence, located in the 300 block of North Vermont in Green Ridge, was damaged by a female known to him. The incident is under investigation.


 

On Friday around 8:30 p.m., Curtis Shrock reported the theft of a blue 2018 Polaris Ranger from his residence in the 31000 block of Highway HH. The incident is under investigation.

On Friday morning, Pettis County deputies, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, responded to Budget Inn, 4710 South Limit, on a disturbance in the motel parking lot involving a gun. Dustin Schondelemeyer was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges for unlawful use of a weapon, as well as possession of a stolen firearm. In addition, Jasmine McCartney and Terra Flinn were also arrested. They were transported to the Pettis County Jail as well for unrelated warrants.

On Friday, Pettis County Deputies arrested Terra Flinn of Sedalia on a Pettis County warrant. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail to post bond.


 

On Thursday, Pettis County deputies took a private property report concerning a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the 24000 block of Oak Grove Lane.


 

On Thursday, Pettis County deputies took a report of a possible sexual assault in the area of 32nd and Sacajawea Road. An investigation is under way.


On Thursday, Pettis County deputies responded to 103 South Missouri in Green Ridge on a disturbance and property damage report.


 

On Thursday at 4:13 a.m., Pettis County deputies responded to the 1100 block of McVey Road on a complaint of trespassing. No arrests were made at the time of the report. Investigation is ongoing.


 

On Wednesday, Kerry Connell reported a case of identity theft to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office.
