Sunday morning, Pettis County Deputies took a report of a crash near the intersection of Highway 127 and Pleasant Green Road near La Monte. The unnamed driver, who was uninjured, had hit a deer.


 

Deputies took a report of burglary on the afternoon of May 1st. The burglary was reported to have occurred in the 1000 block of Highway 52 in Windsor earlier that day.

While on patrol Monday night in the city of La Monte, Pettis County Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black colored Honda Accord in the area of East Grand Street and South Main Street. The Accord was stopped because it showed expired license plates from the state of Arkansas. The driver had an active warrant from Harrison County. The warrant was a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility and Excessive Speeding (Over 26 MPH). The driver, Richard Pascual, 23, of La Monte, was arrested, and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Pascual was booked in for the warrant and bond was set at $1,000 cash only. Pascual was issued a City of La Monte citation for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License.

Sunday evening, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Center Street and East Lane in La Monte. The stop was conducted on a vehicle with expired temporary registration. A check of the driver and the passenger was conducted, and the driver was found to have no operator’s status. The passenger was found to have multiple warrants for their arrest from Pettis County. The driver, Keenan Vickers, 29, of La Monte, was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License. Vickers was released with a citation. The passenger, Heather R. Higgins, 27, of La Monte, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrants. Higgins had Pettis County Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, for Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Highway Without a Valid License, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt.
