Tuesday morning, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of East 17th street and South Lamine Avenue on a blue Ford F150 because it had a registration violation. The Pettis County K9 was deployed around the vehicle and alerted. A search of the vehicle yielded fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. Larry Montowine, 53, of Sedalia, and Michael Priest* were taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Friday night, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard. The stop was conducted on a black Pontiac G8 for a Registration Violation, Speeding, and Defective License Plate Lights. The driver was identified as Larry Brody, 67, of Kansas City. A computer check showed Brody had an active warrant from Henry County with a $500 cash or surety bond.** Brody was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the South Osage Avenue and West 5th Street on a vehicle with no lights on and expired registration. The driver was found to have a suspended license. Maria Guadalupe Hernandez, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended (2nd Offense). Herandez was released from the scene with a summons.

On the morning of October 5th, Deputies conducted a traffic stop at South Lamine and East 17th Street on a vehicle with no front plate that rand a stop sign. The drier provided the name date of birth of another individual. A fingerprint scanner was sued, which revealed the driver to be Abraham Quetzecua Marcos, 27, of Sedalia. Marcos had several warrants for his arrest and no valid License. Marcos was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Marcos was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of Identity Theft and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License. Marcos also had a Failure to Appear warrant out of Morgan County on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License (2nd Offense). Marcos also had two warrants from Pettis County. One was a Failure to Appear warrant on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Purchasing/Attempting to Purchase or Possession of Liquor by a Minor (1st Offense), and felony Assault in the 3rd Degree. In total, the warrants for Marcos held a bond of $5,000 cash or surety (Pettis County) and $2,500 cash only (Morgan County).


 

On the evening of October 3rd, Officers made contact with Melissa Hemme at her residence in the 100 block of South Chestnut Avenue in La Monte. Hemme stated that on the morning of September 25th and


October 2nd, someone took both license plates off her 2005 Dodge Durango.

*No age or address was given for Priest in the report. There is also not an entry for this incident in Casenet at newstime. Charges for either suspect were not specified in the report.
