Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for October 12, 2021

On the night of October 4th, the Pettis County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of the 1100 block of South Limit Avenue. During the traffic stop, the driver, Mason J. Heston, of Cole Camp was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without A License (Second Offense). Heston was later released with a summons.

The Pettis County K9 Unit was dispatched to the 2700 block of Monsess Drive Monday evening in reference to a drug report. The subject was calling about an employee in possession of marijuana. The small amount of marijuana was located and seized.

Early Sunday morning, Deputies responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room, 601 East 14th Street, in reference to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile ran away from the area of 23000 Highway 765 in Pettis County. The juvenile was later located and returned to her mother.

Friday morning, Pettis County Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 65 and Rebar Road in reference to a non injury motor vehicle crash. A 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Susan Foster of Camdenton, was stopped in the southbound lane at a red light when a 2010 Toyota Camry, driven by Lyubov Kharabora, of Sedalia, attempted to change lanes and struck Foster's vehicle from the rear.

On the night of October 8th, the Pettis County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of US 65 Highway and Elm Hills Boulevard. The vehicle was displaying the wrong Missouri license plates. During the stop, the driver was identified as George R. Jodon. Jodon was arrested for Driving While Revoked (Prior Offender), and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On the night of October 6th, the Pettis County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of Overstreet and Spur 50, Smithton. The stop was conducted on a vehicle failing to display proper Missouri license plates. During the stop, the driver, Jackie R. Jensen, of Otterville, was arrested for felony Driving While Revoked and two Pettis County warrants. One warrant was for Failure to Appear on original charges of felony Resisting Arrest by Fleeing Causing Substantial Risk of Serious Injury or Death, Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless and Imprudent Manner, Driving While Revoked, and Speeding with a cash or surety bond of $25,000. The other Failure to Appear warrant was on original charges of Driving While Revoked and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, with a cash only bond of $250. Jensen was transported to the Pettis County Jail.
