On Monday night, Pettis County deputies arrested Edward Marshall of Sedalia on charges of 1st degree stalking, violating a full order of protection, possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest after they took a report of stalking in the 600 block of South Walnut in La Monte.


 

On Monday morning, Smith-Cotton High school administrators reported to the School Resource Officer (SRO) that a student was found in possession of a weapon at the school. The weapon was not a firearm, but was prohibited from being carried concealed on school property under state law. An 18-year-old student was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of formal charges by the Pettis County prosecutor.


 

Pettis County deputies arrested Tyler D. Whyte on Tuesday after they responded to a physical domestic assault call at 101 Villa Drive at 4:24 a.m. Investigation revealed that Whyte had shot a firearm inside the residence, then physically assaulted someone inside the home. Drug paraphernalia was also located in plain view by deputies. Whyte was taken onto custody and charged with 2nd degree domestic assault, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.


On Tuesday around 1 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Highway 765 on a well-being check, during which deputies located two people with outstanding warrants for their arrest. Christina Hood was arrested on a Probation & Parole warrant with no bond. LaShawn Combs was arrested on a Pettis County warrant for possession of a controlled substance with a $3500 bond. Both are from Sedalia and were transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Tuesday around 10:20 a.m, Pettis County deputies arrested a 17-year-old male at Smith-Cotton High School, 2010 Tiger Pride Blvd., for being a minor visibly intoxicated. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and issued a summons.


 

On Tuesday morning, Pettis County deputies arrested 32-year-old Nicholas A. Howe on a Municipal warrant.
