Rebar Road Accident Injures Wyoming Man
A Wyoming man was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday morning at Rebar Road in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2012 Freightliner Cascadia driven by 40-year-old Charles W. Muriuki of St. Louis was turning from southbound US 65 onto Rebar Road at 7:57 a.m. Saturday morning, when a northbound 2015 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by 58-year-old Billy D. Splane of Cheyenne, Wyoming, failed to yield and struck the 18-wheeler.
Splane suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD for treatment.
The Freightliner had moderate damage, while the Dodge Ram was totaled. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
Both drivers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
