For many that lived through this horrific event, seeing video of what happened on May 20, 2010 is hard to stomach.

According to the website Storm Highway, the activity first started west of Sedalia around Whiteman Air Force Base. A large cell was located south of Knob Noster. The tornado sirens were sounded.

Closer to Sedalia, thunder and lightning were heavy as things started to fire up in the State Fair city.

Dan Robinson, the author of the article on,  pulled into Sedalia and parked on the side of the road. He started videotaping what was to be the beginning of the tornadic activity.

From his reports Robinson says "wisps of condensation started rising from the ground into the wall cloud. the tornado intensified and filled in quickly, but apperaed on the weaker end of the scale."

Robinson continues, " After the tornado lifted, the wall cloud continued to rotate rapidly with several puffs of light dirt swirls at the ground. A second tornado was reported at this time doing damage in a residentail area in Sedalia."
