The new Sedalia Police Department Headquarters is now open and a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place this Saturday (Jan 26).

According to the City of Sedalia, the former police department lobby at 201 W. 2nd Street is closed and no longer operational.

To contact an officer in person, residents may come to the lobby at the new Sedalia Police Department Headquarters, located at 300 W. 3rd Street.

A Ribbon Cutting and Masonic Cornerstone Ceremony for the new SPD Headquarters will be held on Saturday, January 26.

The events are open to the public and will follow the schedule listed below.

12:00 p.m.
Ribbon cutting with Mayor Kehde, City Council members and SPD staff

12:15 - 1:00 p.m.
Tours - City Council Members and Officials ONLY

1:00 - 2:00 p.m. 
Tours - General Public

2:30 p.m.
Cornerstone Ceremony - Granite Lodge No 272 A.F. & A.M. and Grand Lodge of Missouri, A.F. & A.M.

To contact staff at the new building by phone, call 660-827-7823 and dial the needed extension or follow the prompts. To reach the Sedalia Police Department dispatch, please, call 826-8100. For all emergencies, call 911. Public parking is located on the south side of the building near 3rd Street.

The Sedalia Police Department and the City of Sedalia made adjustments to the times of the events in order to pay respects to Councilman Russell Driskell's memorial ceremonies the same date. SPD said it was 'a devastating loss for the City and Driskell will be truly missed.'
