On Thursday, July 23, South Ingram Avenue will be closed to traffic just north of its intersection with East 10th Street, to allow for a water line replacement on East 10th, according to the City of Sedalia.

The road will remain closed between noon and 5 p.m., when the work is planned to be completed, weather dependent.

A drill rig will be in one lane of the roadway with workers and a pit to pull pipe through will be in the other lane. No traffic will be able to pass through South Ingram during this time period.

Homeowners along South Ingram will be able to access their driveways throughout the day; however, access may be limited to one direction as work progresses.

Travelers will want to plan a different route and avoid this area to ensure they arrive at their destinations on time and to assist in keeping congestion to a minimum so that roadway repairs can be made safely, the City said on Wednesday.
